Day 1: KAMPALA TO QENP

Early Morning after Breakfast Our Driver or Guide will meet you at the Hotel or Accommodation start the Journey to west of Uganda. Equator - Uganda

On our way we will pass the Ugandan equator, here we will make a stop for a freshening Break, you can take pictures and shop for a souvenir (or just identify some items to be picked up on return).

Proceed for 2hours to Mbarara, Make a stopover at Agip Motel for best Ugandan Buffet and continue to the southwest and head for the Western Rift Valley.

Upon arrival in the park you might spot the first wildlife, like waterbucks and warthogs, before arriving at your accommodation in the middle of the park.

Dinner and overnight at either Ishasha Wilderness Camp or Mweya Safari Lodge.


Day2: GAME VIEWING AND BOAT CRUISE

Early Morning Breakfast and for game drive and head for the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. A search for the tree climbing Lions, elephants, buffaloes, if luck the Leopard and many bird species.

Return to your accommodation for Lunch or a packed lunch will have been provided in the morning.
African Fish eagle
In the afternoon we proceed for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George. Enjoy abundant birdlife such as such as African Fish eagle, Grey headed king fisher, Swamp flycatcher, Grey capped Warbler, Red chested sunbird, Black - headed gonolek, Great White and Pink backed Pelican, Great and long tailed Cormorants, Common Squaco Heron, African open billed stock, Malachite and Pied kingfishers, Black crake, swamp fly catcher among others and the hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari.

Return to your accommodation at 5:00pm and enjoy beautiful sunset.

 

Day 3: QENP TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast we will take you for a walk Bats in Hunter Cave - maramagambo Forestthrough the Maramagambo Forest, known for the Blue Lake and the Bat and Hunters Cave.

You will get the chance to have a close look at the bats and maybe even the rock python and forest cobras that feed on the bats. The same walk will provide you with views of different bird species, primates and trees.


After this activity we will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Fort Portal, situated at the foot of the Mountains of the Moon. From here we continue to the dense forest of Kibale National Park.


Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee forest Guest house or Ndali Lodge or Primate Lodge Kibale.

Day 4: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING IN KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

After Breakfast report to the Park Headquarters for Briefing as the black-and-white colobus monkeyforest opens its doors for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others.


After a hearty lunch we transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for another, totally different nature walk. The Bigodi Swamp Walk is an initiative of the local community and is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. Return to your accommodation for dinner.


 

Day 5: KIBALE FOREST - KAMPALA

After a relaxing breakfast we drive back to Kampala where we will arrive in the afternoon.
